Eletrobras

Eletrobras is one of the largest companies in the Brazilian electricity sector, operating in the power generation and transmission segments. In the Generation segment, the company operates a portfolio of plants focused on clean and renewable sources, mostly composed of hydroelectric plants, as well as thermoelectric plants and wind farms. The energy generated is sold in both the Regulated Contracting Environment (ACR) and the Free Contracting Environment (ACL). In the Transmission segment, Eletrobras operates an extensive network of lines covering the country, with revenues from concession contracts. After its capitalization process, the company operates as a private corporation, also holding stakes in several other companies in the electricity sector.
