Gerdau S.A. is Brazil's largest steel producer with industrial operations in the Americas. The company produces long steels, flat steels and is one of the leading global suppliers of special steels, mainly serving the automotive industry. Its business model is partially integrated, with its own iron ore mines to supply its steel mills. In addition, Gerdau is the largest recycler in Latin America, using millions of tons of scrap annually as the main raw material in its production process. Its activities are divided into four business operations: Brazil Steel, North American Steel, Special Steel and South American Steel, supplying construction, industry and agribusiness.
