Serena is an energy company focused on generating and selling electricity from renewable sources, with operations in Brazil and the United States. Its asset portfolio consists mostly of wind power plants, complemented by centralized, distributed (GD) solar generation projects and small hydroelectric power plants. The company's business model is structured in three main units: asset management, energy platform and new project development. The asset management division is responsible for operating and maintaining the generator park to optimize production. Its energy platform manages electricity trading through long-term contracts (PPAs) in regulated and free markets. The development area, in turn, focuses on expanding the portfolio by creating a pipeline of new renewable projects.
