Transmissora Aliança de Energia Elétrica SA, or Taesa, is an electric power company that acts as one of the largest electric transmission utilities in Brazil. Taesa implements, operates, and maintains electric power transmission services and facilities for both Brazil's National Interconnected System and other countries' power transmission sectors. The company generates most of its revenue as compensation for its investments in the construction of transmission lines and the operation and maintenance services it provides throughout Brazil. Taesa's controlling shareholders include a large Brazilian state power company, CEMIG.
