The company is strongest in the postpaid business, with 57 million customers, about 41% of this market. It is the landline operator in the state of São Paulo and, after acquiring GVT, owns an extensive fiber optic network across the country. The company provides Internet access to 6 million homes. Following in the footsteps of its parent company Telefonica, Vivo is selling fixed and wireless phone services as a convergent offering. The company sells pay TV services to its landline customers.
