Pearl Diver Credit Company Inc. (PDCC) is a newly formed, non-diversified, closed-end management investment company that operates as a business development company (BDC) under the Investment Company Act of 1940. The company's primary investment objective is to generate current income and, secondarily, capital appreciation. It achieves this by primarily originating and investing in secured debt, including first lien, unitranche, and second lien loans, as well as, to a lesser extent, equity and equity-related investments. PDCC focuses on providing financing solutions to middle-market companies across various industries. As a BDC, PDCC is required to invest at least 70% of its assets in eligible portfolio companies, which are generally private U.S. companies.
